The underarms in men are a small area with very dense, coarse hair: it holds a lot of pigment, and the laser responds to hair like that most strongly of all. The area is treated with the skin stretched, with the arm behind the head — in a relaxed fold part of the hair hides and is left without a pulse. The power here has to be higher than on a woman's area, even though underarm skin is among the thinnest on the body, so the specialist works in short passes and leans on the built-in cooling. The area is small and is covered quickly. The hairs grow out of sync, so the underarms are done as a course at 4–8 week intervals.
Men's reasons for this area are usually practical: thick hair holds moisture and creates an environment for bacteria, the T-shirt sticks, the smell lingers longer. The less hair there is, the fewer occasions for that; the laser does not affect sweating itself, and the specialist says so plainly. On average 6–10 sessions are needed, and with dense men's hair more visits are required more often. Preparation: shave the day before or on the day of the visit, no waxing or tweezers for 2–4 weeks before the session. On the day of the visit do not apply deodorant or antiperspirant — the skin has to be clean. And 2–4 weeks without strong sun or a tanning bed.

That is what people most often come for: the less hair there is, the fewer reasons for ingrown hairs and irritation. Only a course removes the problem completely, not a single session.
Large areas are done as a course at 4–8 week intervals, on average 6–10 sessions. The laser sees dense dark hair well, so men's areas often respond confidently.
The price depends on the size of the area and the length of the session: where the hair is denser and there is more work, the price is higher. Small areas cost the same as in the general price list.
We do not work with the laser over tattoos or moles — we go around those spots or cover them. Fresh scars and skin damage need time to heal; the specialist will look at the area at the examination.
Less well: the laser follows pigment, and there is almost none in grey and very light hair. We will say so plainly before the course starts, not after payment.
The treatment takes place one to one with the specialist, and everything outside the working area is covered. For our staff this is ordinary work to protocol — including delicate areas.
