About the treatment
What it is per treatment
In men the buttocks are treated together with the intergluteal cleft — and it is the cleft that is most often the reason for coming. The cleft is covered separately, with the skin stretched: deep inside, part of the hair would otherwise be left without a pulse. The skin on the buttocks is dense and has no bone under it, so the session is taken more calmly than in many smaller areas; in the cleft the sensitivity is higher and the power is chosen more cautiously. Men's hair here is denser and coarser than women's, there is plenty of pigment and the response is strong. The hairs grow out of sync, so the area is done as a course at 4–8 week intervals.
Requests for this area are almost always practical: sport, long hours of sitting and the rubbing of underwear cause irritation, and after shaving or waxing the hair curls back under the skin and turns into painful bumps. The less hair there is, the less often that happens. On average 6–10 sessions are needed. Preparation: shave the day before or on the day of the visit — ask someone to help with the cleft; no waxing or tweezers for 2–4 weeks before the session. For a day after the session do without tight synthetic underwear, and for a few days without scrubs or a stiff washcloth on the area. And 2–4 weeks without strong sun or a tanning bed.

That is what people most often come for: the less hair there is, the fewer reasons for ingrown hairs and irritation. Only a course removes the problem completely, not a single session.
Large areas are done as a course at 4–8 week intervals, on average 6–10 sessions. The laser sees dense dark hair well, so men's areas often respond confidently.
The price depends on the size of the area and the length of the session: where the hair is denser and there is more work, the price is higher. Small areas cost the same as in the general price list.
We do not work with the laser over tattoos or moles — we go around those spots or cover them. Fresh scars and skin damage need time to heal; the specialist will look at the area at the examination.
Less well: the laser follows pigment, and there is almost none in grey and very light hair. We will say so plainly before the course starts, not after payment.
The treatment takes place one to one with the specialist, and everything outside the working area is covered. For our staff this is ordinary work to protocol — including delicate areas.
