Full legs is the largest area on the price list: in a single visit the specialist covers thighs, knees, shins, feet and toes. The diode laser delivers a pulse to the pigment of the hair follicle, while built-in cooling works at the moment of the flash and protects the skin. Leg hair is not uniform — below the knee it is usually darker and coarser, on the thighs thinner and lighter — so the power is set area by area rather than with one setting for the whole leg. Where the skin lies directly over bone — the knee, the front of the shin, the foot — it is more sensitive, and the handpiece is moved more slowly there. The laser only affects hair in the active growth phase, and hair does not grow in sync, so the area is treated as a course with an interval of 4–8 weeks.
From visit to visit the hair grows thinner and sparser: what regrows is softer and lighter, and shaving is needed less often. How many sessions you will need, the specialist will tell you after examining the area — on average it is 6–10 sessions, and the exact number depends on your phototype, hair thickness and hormonal background. The diode laser works with a cooled tip: the sensation is short warm snaps. Sensitive areas (bikini, upper lip) are noticeably easier to take than waxing. If the discomfort is strong, the specialist lowers the settings during the session itself.
We work through the summer. You must not come with a fresh tan: after strong sun or a sunbed a 2–4 week pause is needed, and between sessions — SPF on exposed areas. On tanned skin the settings are chosen more gently, so the examination is compulsory.
Shave the area 12–24 hours before the visit — the root must stay and the surface must be clean. For 2–4 weeks do not pluck, wax or sugar. On the day of the session — no creams, deodorants or self-tan on the area.
For 48 hours — no sauna, pool, hot bath or sport that makes you sweat. For a week — no scrubs or aggressive acids on the area. Sun — only under SPF. Hair will start to fall out in 5–14 days, and that is normal.
The laser sees light, grey and red hair less well — there is little pigment in it and the result will be weaker; we will say so plainly at the examination. There are also contraindications: pregnancy, taking photosensitising medication, inflammation and fresh damage on the area.
A bundle is better value if you take several areas in one visit: the price is fixed and lower than the areas added up. If you need a single area — take it separately, there is no point paying extra for a bundle.
