What it is per treatment
For men the cheeks are the upper border of the beard: the individual hairs that climb towards the cheekbones and blur the edge are removed. The beard itself stays; the work covers only what is above the line. The border is marked out together with you before the start — it sets the shape of the face, and it cannot be redrawn afterwards. Hair on a man's cheek usually grows more sparsely than on the chin but is just as coarse, so the specialist more often works spot by spot rather than in a continuous pass. The eyes are close by and are covered with goggles for the whole session. The area is done as a course at 4–8 week intervals: only hair in the active growth phase responds during a visit.
People choose this area when the beard needs a clear top edge rather than a gradual fade — and the result shows up in photographs before it shows in the mirror. On average 6–10 sessions are required; men's hair is thicker and sits deeper than women's, so more visits are usually needed. Preparation: shave above the beard line the day before or on the day of the visit, and for 2–4 weeks before the session do not pull out single hairs with tweezers — the cheeks are where people reach for them most. That is what people most often come for: the less hair there is, the fewer reasons for ingrown hairs and irritation. Only a course removes the problem completely, not a single session.
Large areas are done as a course at 4–8 week intervals, on average 6–10 sessions. The laser sees dense dark hair well, so men's areas often respond confidently.
The price depends on the size of the area and the length of the session: where the hair is denser and there is more work, the price is higher. Small areas cost the same as in the general price list.
We do not work with the laser over tattoos or moles — we go around those spots or cover them. Fresh scars and skin damage need time to heal; the specialist will look at the area at the examination.
Less well: the laser follows pigment, and there is almost none in grey and very light hair. We will say so plainly before the course starts, not after payment.
The treatment takes place one to one with the specialist, and everything outside the working area is covered. For our staff this is ordinary work to protocol — including delicate areas.
