At our centres this is a treatment for men — the “For men” badge sits next to its name. Women with a similar concern are better off starting with a consultation: the specialist will examine the scalp and say what would suit.

About the treatment
About the treatment
The treatment is done with a device using a sterile single-use cartridge: very fine needles set to a chosen depth pass over the scalp in frequent punctures. There are two mechanisms here, and they work together. The first is the micro-punctures themselves: the skin responds to them as to a controlled stimulus and strengthens its own repair processes around the hair follicles. The second is delivery: through the open micro-channels a cocktail of active substances reaches not the surface but the layer where the hair roots sit — something topical products cannot do. Before the session the scalp is cleansed and treated with antiseptic, and the specialist sets the depth and density of the punctures according to the area and its sensitivity. The sensation is tingling and light pressure; the scalp may stay sensitive and slightly reddened until the end of the day.
The treatment works not with the length of the hair but with the scalp and the roots, which is why it is not judged by a single visit: hair grows slowly, and changes become visible as the growth cycle turns over. It is done as a course — how many visits and at what spacing, the specialist will say after examining the scalp: the reasons behind thinning and shedding differ, and some of them call for a doctor rather than a beauty specialist. Preparation: come with clean hair, washed the day before or on the day of the visit, and on that day do not apply styling products, oils or dry shampoo to the scalp. After the session the hair is not washed until the next day, and for twenty-four hours afterwards you go without a hot hairdryer, sauna and swimming pool.

Book a visit — the specialist will look at the area and put together a plan.
If a treatment has a first-visit price, it is shown on a tag next to the price. Repeat visits are charged at the price-list price.
It feels like tingling and light pressure. The specialist sets the needle depth and density by area and sensitivity; the scalp may stay sensitive and slightly red until the end of the day.
That is decided at the examination, not in advance: thinning and shedding have different causes, and some of them call for a doctor rather than a cosmetologist. The treatment works on the scalp and roots, so it is not judged by a single visit.

From the next day. On the day of the treatment — no washing, hot hairdryer, sauna or pool; sweating and intense exercise are also best put off for a day.
