Here succinic acid is not an addition to another programme but the basis of the protocol, and it works in two roles at once. As an acid it weakens the adhesion of dead cells in the horny layer: the texture evens out and the skin stops looking dull. As a participant in cellular metabolism it supports the energy processes in the skin and behaves as an antioxidant, which is why the protocol is also chosen for tired, greyish skin and not only for uneven tone. One thing is worth knowing in advance, because it is often confused: with us this is a non-injection treatment — the formula is applied to the skin and removed by the clock, not delivered by needle. The course of the session: cleansing, application of the formula with the exposure controlled, neutralisation, a soothing and hydrating stage, and ultraviolet protection at the end. During the exposure you feel tingling and warmth.
The acid is considered mild and the protocol is adapted to sensitive skin: the specialist selects the concentration and the exposure time at the examination, and the first visit usually runs on more cautious settings than later ones.
